Emily’s Vibrant Mexican Pot
This pot is bright orange with flecks and red with a thick zig zag separating the two colours. The center is a rich metallic gold. The zig zag was scratched into the clay whilst still wet, then once it was fired an underglaze was used to pick out the two lines and then a glaze was very carefully painted onto the band in the center. Emily particularly likes the way all these warm colours compliment each other.The pot is 8cm at it's widest point and 7cm at the narrower side. It stands about 6cm tall.

This lovely bow incorporates original poetry by Chris.
The wet clay is rolled out to the correct thickness and the design is drawn on, along with the hand-stamped letters. For the first drying stage the bowl is dried in a mold while protected so it doesn't dry to quickly and crack. Once it has started drying it is taken out of the bowl, very carefully as this is when it is at it's most delicate. Once finally dry the bowl is fired then glazed and fired again.

The glaze on this bowl came out of the kiln much fainter than we are used to, and for this reason, we are selling this bowl as a second.
