A kinder embrace.

Description

A tall stoneware vase, 25cm tall, 12cm wide. Unglazed on the outside, but suitable for fresh or dried flowers.

Some things can only be understood when looking upwards from low down

When letting the curve of the earth come close

To hold us in a kinder embrace

Words by Chris Goan. The vase is built from a slab of clay, words etched in before building. The imagery is then drawn in and the vase is dried. Once fired, the colour is added to the outside a a rich glaze on the inside.
